The enduring legacy of the late founder of The Fountain of Life Church, Pastor Taiwo Odukoya, was celebrated on Sunday as family members, church leaders, professionals and beneficiaries of his initiatives gathered in Lagos for the third annual Daniel Taiwo Odukoya Memorial Lecture, marking what would have been his 70th birthday.

The lecture, themed “One Life, Many Harvests: The Multiplier Effect of a People-Centred Life,” focused on Odukoya’s enduring impact on leadership, mentorship, nation-building and service.

In his welcome address, Senior Pastor of The Fountain of Life Church, Jimmy Odukoya, described his father as a man whose life of obedience, integrity and selfless service continues to bear fruit years after his passing.

Delivering the keynote address, former Minister of Communication Technology, Omobola Johnson, said Odukoya’s influence extended far beyond the pulpit, noting that he invested intentionally in raising people and building institutions that would outlive him.

She identified key lessons from his life, including humility, servant leadership and the importance of listening without judgement, stressing that Odukoya focused on empowering others rather than seeking personal recognition.

The event also showcased the impact of initiatives founded by Odukoya and his late wife, Bimbo Odukoya. Grace Springs Business and Vocational School said it has trained more than 3,500 people since 2009, while the Pastor Bimbo Odukoya Foundation disclosed that it has supported more than 233,000 women.

A major highlight was the unveiling of Odukoya’s posthumous devotional, Reflections of My Heart, described as a lasting testament to his teachings on faith, resilience and purposeful living.

Speaking on the sidelines, Associate Senior Pastor Tolu Odukoya said the annual lecture was created to preserve his father’s vision of leadership and nation-building, while Tobi Odukoya urged Nigerians to continue his legacy of service.

Pastor Taiwo Odukoya died in 2023 after decades of ministry marked by teachings on faith, leadership and personal transformation. Organisers said the annual memorial lecture and the publication of Reflections of My Heart are part of ongoing efforts to preserve his legacy and inspire future generations.
