Asaba loses high ranking chief two months after Asagba’s passage

From Paul Osuyi, Asaba

The Iyase (traditional Prime Minister) of Asaba Kingdom in Delta State, Chief Patrick Isioma Onyeisi, has passed on.

Chief Onyeobi, a renowned technocrat, was a former Head of Service and Secretary to the State Government in the defunct Bendel State.

As the Iyase, he was the number one traditional chief in Asaba. He breathed his last on Monday evening at the age of 91.

His passage came as the kingdom is still mourning the passage of the paramount traditional ruler, the Asagba of Asaba, Obi (Prof ) Chike Edozien who joined his ancestors in February this year.
