Arigbe-Osula joins Edo guber race

HON. Emmanuel Arigbe-Osula, a former deputy minority leader and member, House of Representatives has joined the race to Edo State Gov­ernment House with a vow that in his first year, his administration will create 50, 000 primary employments through Small and Medium Enter­prises (SME).

Arigbe-Osula, who last month was called to join the race by the Edo Initiative for Democracy and Good Governance, picked the nomination form yesterday at the All Progres­sives Congress (APC) National Sec­retariat, Abuja.

He said he is bringing uncompro­mising leadership qualities for unity, development, democracy and good governance. The former lawmaker further assured that the multiplier ef­fect of secondary and ancillary jobs arising thereof will be immense.

He said, “We hope to reduce un­employment drastically, banish crime and promote a sustainable vi­brant economy within the entire Edo state”.

He added that his administration if elected will ensure that never again shall anyone in Edo State go to bed without food.

Arigbe-Osula assured all APC delegates that they shall be the first set of SME business owners to be established to showcase “our purely private sector driven em­ployment revolution for the uncommon growth of our state across every lo­cal government”.

He called on the Edo people to arise and sup­port what he called “this great movement to once again make Edo State the hub of social activi­ties, cultural renaissance, political clemency and undiluted economic pros­perity and advancement”.

Others in the race are Governor Adams Oshiomhole’s alleged anointed candidate, Mr. Godwin Obaseki, Ken­neth Imansuangbon, pop­ularly known as ‘Rice man’, Dr. Pius Odubu, Gen. Charles Airhiavbe­re, Blessing Agbomhere, Chris Ogiemwonyi, former President of the Trade Union Congress (TUC), Peter Esele and Mrs Tina Agbarha.
