The All Progressives Congress (APC) has revealed that it will use its planned e-registration to establish the actual numerical strength of its members across the country.

APC Deputy National Organizing Secretary, Nze Chidi Duru, made the disclosure in Abuja at the weekend when the state chairmen of the ruling party paid a courtesy visit on the party’s national leadership, the National Working Committee (NWC) at its national headquarters.

While underscoring the importance of electronic registration of party members, Nze Duru disclosed that the e-registration would be the first of its kind to be undertaken by any political party in the country.

“The e-registration would enable the party to know its membership strength. Instructively, the project embarked upon by our party will be the first of its kind in the history of political party administration in the country,” Nze Duru noted.

He further explained that each state chapter of the party would send two representatives for the train-the-trainee programme.

“After the programme, the trainees would go back to their respective states to train other people across the Local Government Areas (LGAs) and wards,” he explained.

The deputy organising scribe also solicited for the cooperation of the state party chairmen towards ensuring the success of the exercise.

“The flag off of the e-registration to be pioneered by our party will take place in Minna, Niger State on a date to be announced by the party,” Nze Duru, said.
