Anambra: We will continue to partner with State Assembly, Dep Gov tells lawmakers

In line with democracy day celebration, the Executives Governor of Anambra State, Professor Charles Soludo earlier today honoured one year

The Deputy Governor of Anambra State, Dr. Onyekachukwu Ibezim has said that the executive and legislature will continue to partner for roboast good governance.

He disclosed this during anniversary of 8th Anambra State House of Assembly at its complex in Awka, saying that Governor Soludo assent to eleven laws at once, the thirteenth one among others due to the two arms cordial  relationship.

Ibezim who represented the governor at the event the signing of eleven bills into law by the governor “shows a very proactive legislature. Legislature that is partnering  with the executives, the Judiciary that is also partnering  with the executives to run the day to day activities of the state. It is a heartwarming to celebrate our 25th years of uninterrupted democracy in Nigeria, stating that we believes in ourselves and we are celebrating today.

“This is the first year of celebration of the president dispensation, President Bola Tinubu and to our 8th Assembly, it is their first year of celebration. On behalf of Mr. Governor, Dr. Ibezim congratulates all of them for the convention that is going on in the state, the executives, the legislators and the judiciary.

“It is not to say that there are no challenges, but the challenges can be tackled. He said, just like Archbishop has advised us, to remember that we have no other state than Anambra State. We may have our political diverse, religious diverse but as people, we must remember that Anambra is first.

Ibezim while congratulating the Assembly members  said, “it is a celebration that beckons on them for more works. Remember that in Anambra, before Mr. Governor took over, he had the clear vision of where to take Anambra State, the 50 years vision, the 2070 vision and it is on it that the present administration is working on the five pillars”.

He added that, the aim of Governor Soludo’s administration is to make Anambra State a megacity, where everybody can live, work, relax and enjoy life, adding that the policies were in the right direction and with the various road networks going on, investors coming in. “We are on course of a greater Anambra State. With Mr. Governor, we will take it to the next level”.
