The Alake of Egbaland, Oba Adedotun Gbadebo, alongside other dignitaries, has commended an American returnee medical doctor, Dr. Adewunmi Bakare, for his contribution to improving access to quality healthcare in Nigeria.

The commendation was given on Monday at the official unveiling of CrownBak Health Medical Clinic in Lekki, Lagos.

Oba Gbadebo, who was represented at the event by the Bobagunwa of Egbaland, Ambassador Toye Okanlawon, praised the Chief Executive Officer of the clinic, Dr. Bakare, for his commitment to the development of the nation’s healthcare sector.

He urged other Nigerian professionals in the diaspora to emulate Dr. Bakare by returning home to contribute their expertise to national development.

Welcoming guests to the event, one of the clinic director, Dr. Oladipo Falaye said will be offering world class service.

Adding that clinic is committed to providing services that are professional, affordable and delivered with respect and compassion.

In his address, Dr. Bakare said the establishment of CrownBak Health Medical Clinic was driven by his personal desire to give back to society by improving access to quality healthcare services.

He explained that the clinic was inspired by years of observing how many people delay or completely avoid medical care, not due to lack of concern for their health, but because quality healthcare often seems unaffordable or inaccessible.

According to him, CrownBak Health was created to bridge this gap by providing professional, reliable and affordable healthcare services to people across all social and economic backgrounds.

“Our goal is to enlighten people on the importance of healthy living, early health checks and preventive care, while ensuring that quality healthcare is within everyone’s reach,” Dr. Bakare said.

He noted that beyond medical treatment, the clinic places strong emphasis on health education, early detection of illnesses and building long-term relationships with patients, which he described as critical to sustainable healthcare delivery.

Dr. Bakare added that CrownBak Health is committed to delivering services that are professional, affordable and rooted in respect and compassion.

He also expressed appreciation to stakeholders, partners and members of the public for their support, assuring them of the clinic’s readiness to work closely with the community to promote better health and overall wellbeing.
