Nigeria’s David Akintola has been eliminated from the boxing competition at the 2026 Commonwealth Games in Glasgow after losing to Tanzania’s Yusuf Lucasi Changalawe in the round of 32, BSNSports.com.ng reports.
Akintola put up a spirited performance, but Changalawe edged the contest via a 4-1 split decision on points to secure a place in the round of 16.
The defeat brings an end to Akintola’s campaign at the Games, while Changalawe advances to the next stage of the competition as Tanzania continues its boxing campaign.
