Senator Solomon Olamilekan Adeola, the governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ogun State, on Wednesday declared that he would not run a “sectional administration” but would work for the benefit of everybody in the state, if elected governor in 2027.
Adeola, who said he would hinge his administration on the 9-Pillar ITESIWAJU Agenda, also expressed his readiness to take Ogun to the next level of socioeconomic and infrastructural development, if he emerges governor next year.
The senator stated this while addressing residents of Obafemi-Owode Local Government Area during a stakeholders’ town hall held at Owode town.
The statewide stakeholders’ meeting kicked off on Monday at Ewekoro Local Government Area.
Addressing the gathering, Adeola said the stakeholders’ meeting was organised to provide a platform for him to meet and engage directly with people at the grassroots ahead of the formal commencement of campaigns.
He noted that the meeting was imperative to allow him to get first-hand information on the pressing needs of the residents of the local government.
He described the LG as strategic and contiguous to Lagos, noting that Obafemi-Owode Local Government would be one of the focal points of his administration.

Adeola further stated that his administration would establish a Border Town Development Authority to address the infrastructural challenges confronting the local government.
He added that the town planning issue of Ofada town, which, according to him, has 108 polling units, would be addressed by his government if he is elected the next governor of the state.
“I will work for everyone and I will not be a sectional governor. I will hinge my administration on the 9-Point ITESIWAJU Agenda. The Obafemi-Owode Local Government is very key and strategically located, and I cannot afford to toy with the LG.
“As I stand before you, I am promising you that work will commence on Ofada-Owode road next week. Also, construction work will commence on Abisodun Road this month. A three-storey building with modern healthcare equipment will be built inside General Hospital in Owode, while 10 power transformers will also be delivered across the LG. As we speak, asphalt laying on Japo-Adigbe road is ongoing,” Adeola stated.
Calling for the support of the residents of the LG in the 2027 general election, the senator urged them to vote for all the candidates of the party, beginning with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
In his welcome address, the Chairman of the local government, Lanre Ogunsola, thanked Adeola for the visit, noting that the meeting would provide an opportunity for the residents to engage directly with him.
