A former Commissioner for Information and Values Orientation in Ekiti State and son of the late former Governor of the old Ondo State, Aare Muyiwa Olumilua, has commiserated with the
entire Akeredolu family, Government and people of Ondo State, on the passing of Governor Rotimi Akeredolu (SAN).

Akeredolu who until he breathed his last was the Governor of Ondo State died on Wednesday, after a protracted health battle.

Olumilua, in a statement he personally signed on Wednesday and made available to newsmen said, “The passing of Governor Akeredolu came as a great shock and a grave loss, as there were high hopes of his eventual recovery from his illness”.

Speaking on behalf of the Olumilua family, he said that the Olumiluas would eternally be grateful for the part Governor Akeredolu played during the funeral activities of their patriarch, Evangelist Bamidele Isola Olumilua, an erstwhile Governor of the State.

The former Commissioner described the death of the former President of the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA) as a huge loss to Ondo State, the South Western States, and Nigeria as a whole.

He prayed for the repose of the soul of the late Governor, and prayed God to grant Akeredolu’s widow, children and the family the fortitude to bear the irreplaceable loss.
