Airline executive shows support for NCAA DG Najomo

Members of the Airline Operators of Nigeria (AON) have expressed support for the new leadership of the Nigeria Civil Aviation (NCAA), led by Capt. Chris Najomo, while also seeking the support of industry stakeholders.

Capt. Najomo, who has been actively engaging with stakeholders from various sectors of the industry and the AON, representing indigenous airlines in Nigeria, recently met with the DG in Abuja. During these interactions, Capt. Najomo assured stakeholders of his commitment to foster collaboration in addressing the challenges facing the industry. He also pledged to create a more conducive environment to enhance the operations of domestic carriers.

Based on the positive outcomes of these meetings, the airlines are optimistic and have resolved to support the Najomo-led NCAA in building on the industry’s achievements. One airline CEO, who attended the stakeholders’ meeting in Abuja, shared his personal experience with Capt. Najomo, praising his dedication to service delivery. The executive narrated an incident where Capt. Najomo swiftly resolved an issue regarding document processing, demonstrating his responsiveness and efficiency.

The executive emphasised the importance of collaboration and synergy among all stakeholders for the industry’s growth. He called on all stakeholders, including airline executives, service providers, ground handlers and others committed to the industry’s development, to rally behind the DG. The executive expressed confidence that with collaboration, the industry can achieve great heights and propel Nigerian aviation to new levels of success.

Capt. Najomo is an experienced pilot with over 40 years experience. He has received training from various institutions and conducted courses both locally and internationally.

His career includes roles as Air Traffic Control Assistant, Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority Designated Examiner, Director of Flight Operations, and Training Captain/Simulator Instructor.
