Inside Nollywood at the just concluded 2024 International Film Festival & Awards (INIFFAA) in Abuja, gave awards of excellence to Emeka Rollas, national president of the Actors Guild of Nigeria(AGN), Nollywood actor Francis Duru, Regina Daniels and others.
The founder of the group, Muoma Obinna, insisted that INIFFAA is dedicated to celebrating the achievements of African creative minds in the entertainment industry.
Speaking on the awards, he said it is a medium sized to encourage both the awardees and the upcoming actors to work harder.
Muoma expressed his gratitude and joy for the successful completion of the film festival and look forward seeing more elaborate ones organized to celebrate our own, that is, our indigenous movies, actors, actresses, and the producers.
Veteran actor, Francis Duru, who was also an awardee commended the organisers for holding the event in the FCT as part of efforts to bring more film business to the nation’s capital.
He dedicated the award to God and pledged to work harder, urging the upcoming actors to also have target in whatever they are doing in life.
Also,the AGN president, Emeka Rollas expressed delight at the honour and described the INIFFAA as a veritable platform for showcasing Nollywood.
“On behalf of the AGN, I want to thank and congratulate Inside Nollywood for this impactful journey in the last 10 years,” he said.
The event is an annual film fiesta dedicated to recognising the achievements of African creative minds in the entertainment industry.
The festival aims to foster collaboration, celebrate cultural diversity, and promote the advancement of African cinema on the global stage.
It provides a vibrant space for filmmakers from around the world, particularly those of African descent, to showcase their talent and connect with industry professionals.
