Concerned members and stakeholders of the All Progressives Congress in Nasarawa State have raised alarm over alleged irregularities that characterised the recent senatorial and House of Representatives primary elections conducted by the party across parts of the state.

The group, led by Hon. Abdullahi Yammani in a press briefing on Tuesday accused party officials of poor coordination, lack of transparency and actions capable of undermining the unity of the party ahead of the 2027 general elections.

Yammani said election materials either failed to arrive or arrived late in several wards, thereby preventing many party members from participating fully in the exercise.

According to him, some of the affected wards included Gayam, Akurba, Wakwa, Agyraragu, Assakio, Ashige, Shabu/Kwandare, BIADI and Arikya wards, among others.

“Our attention has been drawn to the irregularities that characterised the conduct of the recent APC Senatorial and House of Representatives primary elections in Nasarawa State,” he said.

“As concerned members and stakeholders of our great party, we find it necessary to express our dissatisfaction over the way the exercise was conducted in some parts of the state.”

He further alleged that there was no properly coordinated arrangement for the collation and submission of results across the state, a development he said created confusion and raised doubts about the credibility of the process.

“It is unfortunate that there was no properly coordinated arrangement for the collation and submission of results across the state, a situation which created confusion and raised serious concerns about the credibility and transparency of the entire process,” he stated.
