The African Brands has announced plans to host the African Brands Congress (ABC) 2025 Awards and Exhibition in Lagos on Monday, October 13
This year’s edition, themed, “Building globally competitive brands out of Africa: Prospects, challenges and opportunities,” will bring together leading executives, policymakers, captains of industry, brand custodians and innovators from across the continent to discuss practical strategies for repositioning the African brands on the global stage.
The event will also host the 2025 Brands Showcase and Exhibition along with its special features such as the African Brand Leadership Merit Awards, the African CEOs Awards, the African Brand Innovators Awards, the Africa Sustainability Excellence Awards, and the African Most Admired Brands Awards 2025.
It is designed to educate, engage and inspire professionals in the pursuit of best practices in brand building and value creation.
“It provides a platform for case studies, peer-to-peer learning and robust conversations around the challenges and opportunities that define Africa’s competitive advantage in today’s fast-changing global market,” said Mr. Desmond Esorougwe, Chief Brand Officer at The African Brands.
He said the event would parade speakers like Jane Karuku, CEO of East Africa Breweries Limited; Jaja Salimaty Bah, Minister of Communication, Technology and Innovation, Sierra Leone and Anil Nair, MD/CEO of Olam Agri Nigeria, among others.
He said: “This year also carries special significance as it coincides with African Brands at 10, a decade-long milestone celebration of defining, documenting and driving brand excellence across the continent.
“As the mother of all the initiatives under the African Brands umbrella, African Brands @10 has set the tone for each year’s Congress, one that does not just celebrate achievements, but also charts the future of brand leadership in Africa,” he added.
