Osun State Governor, Ademola Adeleke, has restated his promise to prioritise welfare of workers.

Addressing workers who thronged the state secretariat, Osogbo, to welcome him after his trip abroad, Adeleke assured that the local government allocation will soon be released.

“For the show of love, I can tell you that you have not seen anything yet. Your governor will make sure that worker’s welfare is a priority, its paramount.

“During my campaign, I told you many good things are going to happen. I can assure you by the special grace of God, the local government money will come to us by the special grace of God.

“Very soon, Imole soft loan is coming to you all. Workers, I thank you and everybody I am gonna do more. I love you so much, thank you,” Adeleke said.

Osun Chairman of Joint Negotiation Council, Olamilekan Adediran, urged the workers to go and register for Permanent Voter Card (PVC) that will enable them to vote for Adeleke in 2026.

“My message for Osun workers is to go out and make sure you register, have your PVC, that is your power to determine what is going to happen next year.

“What they are doing now we all know is political. The greatest body of the NBA have decided and instructed the Federal Government to release the Local Government Funds for Osun legally, I don’t know why the Federal Government tampered with the rule of law.

“Now, Osun State worker, I only implore you to go out, make sure you deliver your vote, and I know we don’t need to convince anybody.  What is on ground now really shows, go to any part of Osun State, you will see the way the Governor transforms the State, talk of the salary, allowances or whatever, call warfare packaged for workers, Governor Adeleke is doing well 10 percent. He is still our governor till 2030.”

State Chairman of Trade Union Congress (TUC), Abimbola Fasasi also enjoined workers to go and get their voter’s card.

“My message is simple. We never had this good, both the citizens and dwellers of Osun State. Let us continue in this part that we have known, he has come and we have seen.

“During the campaign, they told a lot of lies about him, he can’t do anything, he doesn’t know anything, he is only dancing, but we have seen it is a testimony anywhere you go in the nooks and cranny of Osun State, construction work is going there.

“The workers again, we can never have it better. Let us continue to support the person who has promised and is delivering. Let us get our PVC ready, and be ready for the election. That is our power that we have so that we can continue,” Fasasi said.
