In a stunning display of community recognition, the powerhouse behind Nigeria’s groundbreaking Pharmacare Centre in Umuawulu has been elevated to a revered chieftaincy title—’NNA TUBELU UGO’ 1 of Umuawulu Kingdom.
The move cements his status as a true hero transforming rural health access forever.
The prestigious title was officially bestowed by HRM Igwe Dr. Joel Maduadichie Egwuonwu, the revered EZE UDO 11, on September 27, 2025, in a grand ceremony that underscored his unwavering commitment to community wellbeing. This honour follows his visionary leadership in establishing the state-of-the-art Pharmacare Centre, a facility that now puts world-class healthcare within reach of Umuawulu residents for the first time.
During the grand commissioning, Pharm. Ezeh Ambrose Igwekamma declared the project a “dream realized,” emphasizing that the new center is a beacon of hope, offering integrated services—from medication advice to health screenings—that challenge the status quo of urban-only medical care. His relentless drive and leadership have turned a once-overlooked community into a healthcare model for Nigeria.
The event was graced by Dr. Afam Obidike, the Honorable Commissioner for Health, who officially inaugurated the centre on behalf of Governor Charles Chukwuma Soludo.
