ACF mourns Ohinoyi of Ebira land, Ado Ibrahim

The Arewa Consultative Forum (ACF) has mourned the death of Ohinoyi of Ebira land, AbdulRahman Ado Ibrahim.

The paramount ruler of Ebira land of Kogi State died in the early hours of Sunday at age of 95.

A statement on Sunday by the National Publicity Secretary of ACF, Professor Tukur Muhammad-Baba said until his death, Ohinoyi was a key member of the Kogi State Traditional Council.

According to the statement, “With total submission to the Will of Almighty God, the Arewa Consultative Forum (ACF) has this morning learnt about the demise of His Royal Highness Alhaji (Dr.) AbdulRahman Ado Ibrahim, Ohinoyi of Ebiraland, aged 95, until the sad event also a key member of the of the Kogi State Traditional Council.

“He will be buried later in the day today (Sunday, October 29) at Okene in accordance with Islamic rites.
Late Alhaji (Dr.) A. A. Ibrahim was a nationalist, astute businessman of international repute in his own right, and an uncompromising pillar of support for Arewa matters.

“For these the late Attah will be sorely missed, especially at this current state of considerable and daunting challenges in the lives of the people of Ebiraland, Kogi State, Arewa and Nigeria at large.

“It is indeed to be a season of deaths as in the past few weeks, key elders of Arewa have been answering the Creator’s calls and succumbing to death.

“However, ACF is consoled by the fact that each and all had lived lives worthy of emulation and leaving behind a legacy of exemplary behaviour and stellar achievements. HRH, late Alhaji (Dr.) A. A. Ibrahim certainly belonged to this high-achieving and proud class.

“His was a life well-lived and full of dedication to the people, culture and tradition was built on and remained anchored on bold, brave principles and commitment to the truth.

“ACF therefore extends profound condolences to the family of HRH late A. A. Ibrahim, the people of Ebiraland, Ebira Traditional Council, friends across Nigeria and the globe, as well the Federal and Kogi State Governments. May all remain fortified in faith consoled.
May Allah SWT in His Infinite Grace and Mercy grant forgiveness and eternal rest in al-Jannah Firdaus to His Royal Highness”.
