The leadership of the Movement for the Actualization of the Sovereign State of Biafra (MASSOB) has lambasted Sunday Adeyamo Igboho, the Yoruba nation agitator for showering praises on President Bola Tinubu, describing such remarks as hypocritical.

In a statement signed by MASSOB’s leader, Uchenna Madu, the pro Biafra group stated it was wrong for Igboho who it said had before now presented himself as a pro Yoruba nation agitator to praised Tinubu for revamping the Nigeria economy, thereby creating the erroneous impression that his brother, the President is excedeenly doing well in governance of Nigeria state.

“It is unfortunate that Sunday Igboho whom we respect as a fellow activist and a self determination agitator for the overall emancipation of the component nations yoked and forced to be under an imposed entity called Nigeria by the British colonial lords will decend so low in praising and acknowledging him because Tinubu is his Yoruba brother.

“MASSOB expected Sunday Igboho since Bola Ahmed Tinubu facilitated his release from Binin Republic prison, to speak out against the continued illegal detention of Mazi Nnamdi Kanu of IPOB, his fellow self determination agitator in Nigeria DSS detention underground cell.”

The statement added that MASSOB was shocked that a self acclaimed self determination agitator and leader of Yoruba nation freedom fighter will derail in the trust and leadership confidence, the people of Oduduwa, Biafra and Middle Beltans have on him.

MASSOB said that a Yoruba man is the president of Nigeria should not be enough reason for a Yoruba self determination agitator to support or promote Nigerianism.

“Even if an Igbo person emerges as president of Nigeria, MASSOB will never derail in the pursuit of Biafra self determination. We are not hypocrites, MASSOB don’t believe in Nigeria”, Uchenna enthused.
