Igbo youths under the aegis of the South East Youth Leaders, (COSEYL) has raised concern over the Abuja planned terrorist attack ,claiming it’s a grand design to eliminate the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra(IPON)Nnamdi Kanu still in detention of the Department of State Security Service (DSS).
The Igbo group in a statement by its President General, Goodluck Ibem called for the immediate release of Kanu before any harm come his way .
Ibem said “The planned terror attack just after a court of Appeal judgement that discharged and acquitted the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, confirms a grand conspiracy by some forces in power to hide under the guise of a terror attack to assassinate the IPOB leader in DSS custody Abuja.
“It is only a tree that will hear that he will be cut down tomorrow and he will remain in the same place without many any plans to move to a safe place.
‘The leader of IPOB Nnamdi Kanu have been discharged and acquitted by the Court of Appeal Abuja and keeping him in DSS custody confirms a plot to assassinate him using the terror attack as cover-up to hide the involvement of some forces.
“Since Great Britain is evacuating her citizens from Abuja over the planned terror attack, we call on Britain to also evacuate Mazi Nnamdi Kanu who is a British citizen from Abuja at the same time.” Ibem stated.
