A new wave of optimism is sweeping through the political landscape as Engr. Abdulsalam Mala Kachallah steps forward with a message that resonates loud and clear: renewed hope is no longer just a slogan but a movement in motion.
Kachallah, a technocrat in politics, has increasingly been seen as a fresh source of inspiration in Borno State, especially to communities that have long yearned for stronger representation and meaningful development. His political ambition commenced in 2019 when he pushed to represent the Maiduguri Metropolitan Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives but it was aborted. He is now renewing that drive with a fresh push to serve the people of Maiduguri in the upcoming National Assembly elections.
Kachallah’s intention to contest for a seat in the Green Chamber has rekindled a sense of hope and renewed belief among the grassroots people of the Maiduguri Metropolitan Council.
For many residents, his entry into the race is not just another political declaration, but a signal of renewed possibility; one that revives confidence in leadership that is closer to the people and responsive to their everyday struggles.
The son of the late Alhaji Mala Kachallah, who was Borno State Governor from 1999 to 2003, the young Kachallah is a seasoned professional engineer and a fellow of key bodies including the Nigerian Society of Engineers (FNSE) and the Nigerian Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (FNIEEE).
Beyond politics, he has played a role in local development projects, notably contributing to infrastructure such as the Polo Grand Hotel in Maiduguri. With a blend of technical expertise, grassroots connection, and a bold vision for progress, Kachallah is sparking conversations and stirring expectations across communities eager for change.
