For the first time in three years, the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) has accepted that it lost the Governorship election in imo State at the Supreme Court.
Publicity Secretary of PDP in imo State, Nze Ray Emeana, declared in a Channels Television programme yesterday that the party’s loss at the Supreme Court was no longer in contention.
“We have accepted that we lost. And we have moved on. We accept that”, he insisted.
He, however, said that the party is looking up to INEC to conduct a credible elections next year.
On the insecurity in the state, he said the party was ready to work with Governor Hope Uzodimma to find a lasting solution to the problem.
According to him, the party had long requested the governor to convene a security summit where all imo people would proffer a suggestion on how to end the crisis.
