IBF heavyweight champion, Daniel Dubois, and WBA, WBO and WBC heavyweight champion, Oleksander Usyk have clashed at Wembley as the promote their highly anticipated rematch for the undisputed heavyweight title.
The two meet again on July 19 at Wembley stadium, exclusively on DAZN, and during Monday’s first promotional event, Dubois shoved ‘The Cat’ during their first face off.
The last time the rivals competed against one another was in Warsaw, Poland, in August 2023, where Usyk took a controversial victory with a knockout in the 9th round, dividing boxing fans around the world.
This was due to the fact Daniel Dubois floored Usyk with a brutal shot to the body in the 5th rendering him unable to continue. However the referee ruled it as a low blow, allowing the champion to recover from the knockdown.
It is a result that still angers Dubois and he showed the resentment at England’s national football stadium on Monday with the push on his rival.
However, the pair was seen laughing with each other shortly afterwards, showing their warmth between the two also.
