Commissioner of Police, Kaduna State, Mohammed Rabiu, has charged officers to tackle criminals, just as the command arrested 15 suspected criminals along the Kaduna-Abuja expressway: “The command has busted the bandits’ hideout. We are waging war against the bandits by arresting some of them.

“Police operatives raided hideouts of hoodlums and kidnappers operating along Kaduna-Abuja expressway. The police tactical team arrested suspected armed robbers terrorising Kaduna axis.

“I redeployed some operatives of the tactical team to strategic areas to ensure safety. We are in working relationship with the Army and other security agencies, including vigilante groups and hunters, to complement our efforts.

“I have started visiting DPOs and Area Commanders to encourage them to always be alert. Officers are warned to shun corruption and imbibe community policing. This will enable them to work with members of the public and flush out criminals.

“Operatives arrested two notorious kidnappers along Kano-Zaria expressway. Another 10 suspected armed robbers were arrested. Police raided some of their hideouts and recovered dangerous weapon used during their operations.
