The Good Governance Initiative (GGI), has described as encouraging the determination of the Armed Forces of Nigeria, to subdue the atrocities of insurgents in the country.

The Borno State Governor, Babagana Zulum, had said there was no community in the state that was still under the control of Boko Haram insurgents, stating that the security situation has improved by over 85%>

Also, the Senator representing Borno South Senatorial District, Ali Ndume said the issue of Boko Haram had come and gone.

In additional, a recent report confirmed a gradual restoration of peace in the popular Dikwa Night Market and the entire town sacked in 2014 and 2016 by Boko Haram insurgents.

GGI President, Adeniyi Osho, in a yesterday said the confirmation of victory over terrorists is a testimony that the sacrifices of the Armed Forces of Nigeria is not in vain.

He attributed the good news coming out from the region to the dedication of officers and men of the Armed Forces of Nigeria under the leadership of Gen. C.G. Musa.

He expressed joy on the gradual restoration of peace in the popular Dikwa Night Market and the entire North-East and expressed confidence that with ongoing military operations, the people of the region will soon express total peace.

GGI further urged the Nigerian media to spread messages of hope, while building the confidence of troops engaged in operations across the country.

“At this time, patriotism is needed to make the victory of our troops over the insurgents total,” he added.
