…Maintains upward curve with new high-budget movie
It’s no longer news that top movie producer, Bamgbola Aliu is in his own class when it comes to high quality movie production.
Few days ago, the award-winning movie producer turned heads at the just concluded Africa Movie Academy Awards 2023, AMAA, held on Sunday, October 29, 2023, at the prestigious Balmoral Convention Centre in Ikeja, Lagos.
The classy man of style, Aliu commanded attention and thrilled the attendees including movie stars from around the world with his exquisite fashion apparels. He looked nothing short of sensational as he stormed the red carpet in fine style. But that’s not the story.
Aliu is up to something special. It’s a new high budget movie project that’s going to change the face of the Nigerian film industry known as Nollywood. Aliu, a high-flying businessman is one of the executive producers of the new movie project titled ‘When The Monsters Come Out’. Aliu is teaming up with James Amuta, celebrated movie director on the new project. As you read, the Nigerian film industry is abuzz with excitement as the movie teaser shot in Trinidad and Tobago is said to be dropping in the coming days. The movie featuring some of the finest actors from two counties reputed for their similarities is said to be one of the most ambitious movie in terms of investment, storyline and the production crew.
The interesting movie is a sea adventure of epic proportions. And according to the director, James Amuta, he said “Imagine Jaws caught having a threesome with Pirates of the Caribbean and Captain Philips. From the teaser, she did not choose to become a hero. She did not choose to return to the sea. But her destiny was already forged by pain – the pain of having to relive the most traumatic experience of her life. And the trauma of potentially losing the only thing she cared about. She must face her greatest fear, and force the monsters to come and play. The suspense will be unveiled in the interesting movie billed to hit the cinemas in the coming days.
