The Itusi Royal Family, Itusi Ilogbo in Ado-Odo/Ota Local Government, Ogun State, has denied involvement in illegal activities over a parcel of land.
The family, through its lawyer in a letter dated February 14, 2023, exonerated itself from allegations levelled against it by members of Adelupo family also of Ilogbo.
Adelupo family had, in a petition to Inspector General of Police (IGP), accused Itusi family, led by Chief Taofik Ebelamu, Raimi Amore, Lukman Amore, Apewo Lamidi and Elijah Adeokun, of terrorising the people and giving members of the community sleepless nights and trauma, in an attempt to forcefully takeover the land at Baba-Ode village, via Iju, Ota.
However, the letter in exonerating Itusi family of any wrongdoing and involvement in act of thuggery, arson and land grabbing, affirmed the family as the rightful owner of the land at Baba-Ode. The family claimed it had a judgment declaring it as rightful owner of the land in question and that no court set aside the judgement, which affirmed it as the rightful owner of the land at Baba-Ode.
