Twentyfive-year old Tukur Aliyu, an indigene of Argungu Local Government Area of Kebbi State, yesterday, commenced trekking from Birnin-Kebbi to Abuja, over President Muhammad Buhari’s victory in the presidential  election.

Aliyu told newsmen shortly before he embarked on the jjourney, yesterday, that he had already made up his mind and vowed to trek on foot to Abuja if the All Progressives Congress (APC) wins or fails in the presidential election.

“I made a promise, a vow  that if APC wins or even loses the presidential election, I will trek from Birnin Kebbi to Abuja. I’m doing it for my party, APC, and I’m doing it because of Buhari,  our president-elect,’’ he said.

Aliyu  carried along with him during the trip, a small bag, one bow of gari, sugar, bean cake and a total cash of N1,500.  He said when he finally reaches Abuja, he would be glad if he could see president Buhari to congratulate him over his victory at the polls.

Although he is happy with the outcome of presidential election result, Aliyu has appealed to the PDP presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar, to accept  the result in good faith.
