2027: Kogi ADC hasn’t endorsed Tinubu – Ogah

ADC

Mr Kingsley Ogah has said he remains the authentic chairman of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) in Kogi State, recognized by law and the national working committee headed by the former senate president, David Mark.

Ogah was reacting to a purported congress on Saturday where an ADC faction led by Leke Abejide representing Yagba federal constituency, elected Sunday Maiyeki and Mamman Apena as chairman and secretary, respectively, among other officials.

While speaking with newsmen on phone, Ogah said it was funny and laughable that a tenant who had come cap-in-hand to rent a house will suddenly become the landlord of the same house he rented, saying Abejide ran into the party in 2019 to secure the party’s ticket after he lost the APC party primaries to contest for the House of Reps seat.

While describing the Saturday election as null and void and has no legal backing, he said there was never any prominent stakeholder of the party present in the meeting, and there was no national working committee member of the party in attendance. He, therefore, described the election as a ruse intended to deceive members of the public.

Ogah said he was still the coordinating chairman of all ADC state chairmen in Nigeria and that his tenure as the party’s chairman in Kogi State would end after the 2027 general election.

He said on December 6, the ADC would be unveiling the party in Kogi West, having done that of Kogi Central and Kogi East, saying that is when the public will know who the authentic chairman is.

He said ADC has come to rescue Nigerians from the current sufferings of the APC led government and cannot adopt Tinubu as its presidential candidate as claimed by Abejide faction, which he said, had been identified as a mole positioned to destroy the good intentions of the party.
