Super Eagles forward, Tolu Arokodare has said that head coach Eric Chelle’s faith in the team has given him and his teammates a significant boost.

Arokodare, who received his first call-up to the Super Eagles under Chelle, talked ahead of Nigeria’s 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifier against Rwanda this Friday (Today).

Chelle’s team will face Rwanda on Friday evening at the Amahoro Stadium in Kigali.

Speaking to Nigerian reporters in Kigali ahead of the game, Arokodare said: “The coach has brought a lot of confidence and has shown us how much belief he has in us. That is a huge boost for the team.

“He is a very confident coach with a plan—he knows what he wants and how he wants to play.

“When you are playing under a coach like that, you know exactly what you have to do. It is pretty simple and straightforward.”

Nigeria are yet to win a game in the qualifiers in Group C.

They currently sit in fifth place in the group, only ahead of bottom-placed Zimbabwe.
