The Confederation of African Football (CAF) and the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) proudly acknowledge the remarkable achievement of Super Falcons’ standout goalkeeper Chiamaka Nnadozie, who confidently secured a fourth-place finish in the 2025 (women’s) Ballon d’Or Yachine Trophy race for the world’s best goalkeeper.
CAF declared on its official X handle (formerly Twitter): “Africa’s finest. Chiamaka Nnadozie is a force the world can’t ignore.”
Mohammed Sanusi, General Secretary of Nigeria’s football governing body, stated: “We wholeheartedly congratulate Nnadozie on her outstanding fourth-place finish in this prestigious race. Competing against elite goalkeepers, this achievement highlights her exceptional talent. Finishing fourth is a significant accomplishment, and we are confident she will capture this trophy in the near future.”

In the full ranking, Chelsea goalkeeper Hannah Hampton won the Women’s Yashin Trophy.
Ann-Katrin Berger (Germany, Gotham FC), Cata Coll (Spain, Barcelona), Chiamaka Nnadozie (Nigeria, Paris FC/Brighton) and Daphne van Domselaar (Netherlands, Arsenal) shared the shortlist with Hampton at Monday’s ceremony in the Theatre du Chatelet in Paris.
Nnadozie has dominated as Africa’s Best Goalkeeper for two consecutive years and earned the Goalkeeper of the Tournament accolade at the Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON) finals in Morocco earlier this summer.
Recall, she played a pivotal role in Nigeria’s historic 10th WAFCON triumph, commanding the defense with her sharp reflexes and unwavering consistency.
