Zeof bids mother-in-law farewell

All roads will, on Saturday, October 15, 2022, lead to Umuezeani, Akwaeze, Anaocha Local Government Area, Anambra State, as a business mogul, High Chief (Barrister) Jideofor V.C. Ezeofor (Ezechimdumaga), bids his mother-in-law, the late Lady Marie Therese Uche Izundu, farewell.

Barr. Ezeofor, is a retired magistrate and the managing director/chief executive officer of Zeof Corporate Identity. He is married to the deceased’s daughter, Dr. Salome Ezeofor, a consultant radiologist/senior lecturer and the head of the Department of Radiation Medicine, University of Nigeria Teaching Hospital, Enugu (UNEC).

Zeof will be leading a high-powered delegation of family, friends, well-wishers and business associates to pay his last respects to the late Lady Izundu as well as a condolence visit to the Izundu family.

Aged 77, Lady Izundu was a retired director in the office of the former Governor of Anambra State.

She oversaw the state’s Bureau of Utilities and Infrastructure, Government House, Awka.

Born on October 6, 1944, to a philanthropist, Chief Peter Oformezie (Obiukwu) and Mrs. Esther Nwaejuafo Ezeani (both of blessed memory) from Umunri, Neni, Anaocha LGA of Anambra State, Lady Izundu got married to the late Barr. Zanda Nnaemeka Izundu (Ikwele Ezekwesili ) on January 10, 1970. Together, the couple had four very successful children and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

A 1972 French graduate of the University of Nigeria Nsukka, Lady Izundu taught in many secondary schools in Anambra before she was in 1994 appointed into the government of the then Military Administrator of the state, Col. Mike Attah.

Lady Izundu was a devout Catholic, community leader and women’s advocate.

Her dedication to the Church and God’s work earned her, in December 2014, the prestigious Noble Knight of St. John International.
