Zeetin Technologies has disclosed its plan to unveil affordable made-in-Nigeria tricycles to the Nigerian market.
The chairman of Zeetin Technologies, Azibaola Robert, while speaking ahead of the unveiling in Abuja, said the production of the tricycles in Nigeria is to make tricycles easier and cheaper for Nigeria’s small businesses to move goods and people.
The unveiling, which is scheduled for Wednesday, 21 October 2026, in Abuja, will be chaired by former President Goodluck Ebele Jonathan.
Robert, who doubles as the chairman of Kakatar Group Limited, also said the VZ150 and VZ200 tricycles assembled at Idu Industrial Area, Abuja, are in technical partnership with VIAR Motor Indonesia, a manufacturer with more than 30 years of three-wheeler engineering behind it.

The Bayelsa State-born engineer explained that Zeetin means ‘for you’, a promise that everything the company builds is built for the success of the person who buys it.
“We are producing tricycles here in Nigeria to make it easier and cheaper for Nigeria’s small businesses to move goods and people,” Robert said.
Robert, a human rights lawyer, environmental crusader and sports enthusiast, further said the tricycle is the working vehicle of the market trader, the farmer bringing produce to town, the artisan, the distributor’s last mile and the commuter corridor.
“The economic case is a local one. Every unit built at our factory carries Nigerian labour and Nigerian value: technicians trained at VIAR’s works in Semarang and now working in Abuja; quality, planning, sales and after-sales staff and, around them, a growing network of dealers, service workshops and parts traders,” he also said.
He added that the first units built on the floor would be handed to their owners on the day of the launch, and with those that follow comes the deeper local content, components, and in time, compressed natural gas and electric models that turn a factory in Abuja into a production hub for Nigeria and Nigerians.
“This is a story of Abuja and of the North: a new manufacturing plant in the capital’s industrial district, built to serve the traders, farmers and commuters of the region and beyond. We would welcome The Sun on the assembly floor to see the work first-hand, and our team will make interviews, images and background material available to your reporters and photographers on the day,” Robert stated.
