To end the face-up between the Zamfara State Government and workers which had led to the indefinite strike embarked upon by the workers last  week, the Zamfara State Council of Chiefs had met with representatives of Labour in the state to find a way out of the current impasse.

Emir of Anka and Chairman, Zamfara State Council of Chiefs, Alhaji Attahiru Ahmad, said they decided to intervene to end the strike embarked by the workers so that to ease the suffering of the masses.

He added that an 11-man committee had been set up to discuss with the state government in order to end the face-up.

Chairman of the State Chapter of Trade Union Congress (TUC), Comrade Mansur Kaura, said workers in the state were ready to listen to calls by the traditional rulers.

Acting governor of Zamfara State, Mallam Ibrahim Wakkala Muhammad, has since commended the traditional rulers for wadding into the lingering labour crisis.
