…as Itel rewards winners of game tournament

Youths have been advised to learn, and acquire skills that will engage and empower them for the achievement of financial independence.
The Marketing Manager of itel, Oke Umurhohwo, stated this at the itel RSA tour grand finale, which took place in Lagos.
Umurhohwo described Nigerian youths as creative and multitalented, noting that youths would live fulfilled lives if they could channel their minds towards positive ventures. “The city game tournament is the first in its series, and the gaming masters displayed their skills and determination, competing for the converted grand prize of one million offered by the itel”, Umurhohwo said .
At the end of the competition, Alabi Kwam emerged as the winner, beating other top contestants from 7 regions in Nigeria in which top three players represented their regions at the grand finale. These States included Lagos, Ebonyi, Kano, Ibadan, Port Harcourt, Abuja, and Kaduna.
Umurhohwo expressed his delight at the success of the itel RS4 City grand finale, describing it as a ground breaking moment for itel. “We are thrilled to witness the exceptional talent and passion displayed by the participants throughout the itel RS4 City Tour. Our goal is to build long-term relationships with these winners, not just for one-off events. We aim to support and empower them to represent itel at local e-sporting events and potentially on an international stage. This grand finale is just the beginning of an exciting journey, we are committed to creating opportunities for gamers to shine”.
He described it as a resounding success, leaving an indelible mark on the Nigerian gaming landscape. “itel’s dedication to fostering talent and creating lifelong partnerships within the gaming community sets a path for other brands to follow. With the innovative devices and unwavering support, itel is poised to make a lasting impact on the gaming industry in Nigeria and beyond”.
In attendance were notable personalities from the gaming and entertainment industry, including Big Brother Naija stars Ceec, Saskay, and Ike. Their presence added an extra layer of excitement and glamour to the event, enhancing the overall experience for participants and spectators alike.
Umurhohwo explained that the competition targeted at the youths, was in collaboration with itel’s esteemed partners Google, 108NE Sports, MTN, Minimie, Carry1st, Ridima, Monster, and Palmstore, and was aimed at building long term relationships with the winners, not just for one-off events.
High point of the event was prize presentation of N1million and other gifts to the winner, Alabi Kwam. The top five contestants were not left empty-handed as they were also rewarded with mouth watering gifts by the organisers.
Clement Michael, the Most Valuable Player (MVP) of the tournament, was also rewarded with the prestigious itel RS4 smartphone, acknowledging his exceptional skills and contributions throughout the competition. “This recognition serves as a testament to firm’s dedication to celebrating and nurturing the talents of the gaming community”, Umurhohwo added.
The winner, Alabi Kwam, expressed joy and satisfaction to itel for organising such an event.
