The Oluebube Charity Foundation (OCF) last year hosted its widely anticipated Spelling Bee Competition at the prestigious Stanel Dome, Awka, bringing together some of the brightest young students in Anambra for a day of intellectual challenge and celebration of learning.
The event, which featured both primary and secondary school participants, highlighted the foundation’s strong commitment to fostering education, literacy, and confidence among children. Contestants displayed remarkable spelling skills, composure, and competitive spirit as they tackled increasingly challenging words before an enthusiastic audience.
In addition to celebrating academic excellence, the competition served as a platform to encourage students to cultivate a passion for reading and effective communication, while also equipping them with the self-assurance needed for future leadership roles.
Winners were rewarded with prizes such as scholarships, books, and other educational materials, while all participants received certificates of recognition to honor their efforts and encourage them to pursue even greater academic milestones.
Speaking at the event, representatives of the Oluebube Charity Foundation emphasized that education remains a cornerstone of the foundation’s humanitarian drive. “The Spelling Bee is more than a contest — it is a call to nurture the intellect and confidence of our children, giving them tools to succeed in school and in life,” they noted.
Parents, educators, and community members present commended OCF for its continued investment in children and education, describing the Spelling Bee as an inspiring initiative that is shaping the future of young Nigerians.
The competition has since become one of OCF’s hallmark educational programs, reinforcing its mission of empowering lives and creating brighter opportunities through education.
