As the founder of IRE Homes Ltd, she is not only gracing screens but also transforming Nigeria’s home décor industry with her brand’s commitment to affordable yet world-class interior design.
Founded in 2020, IRE Homes has grown into a full-fledged lifestyle brand offering bespoke furniture, imported collections, and end-to-end interior design solutions.
According to Mariam, her goal is to “bridge the gap between affordability and global quality standards,” ensuring Nigerians can upgrade their spaces without sacrificing style or durability.
Despite challenges such as rising material costs and logistics hurdles, Mariam’s decision to evolve IRE Homes from a furniture vendor to a complete lifestyle brand marked a major turning point.
Today, the company supports local artisans, promotes “Made-in-Nigeria” excellence, and provides sustainable jobs within the design value chain.
Balancing acting and entrepreneurship, Mariam says both worlds complement each other. “Acting has taught me empathy and storytelling, skills I use in business daily. You don’t have to choose between your dreams,” she advises. “Start with what you have, stay consistent, and let passion and discipline guide you.”
