Wife of the Anambra State governor, Dr Mrs Nonye Soludo, has urged young people in the state to embrace lifelong learning and remain committed to acquiring new skills.

She said every skill mastered today is a step towards a more confident, productive, and prosperous tomorrow.

Mrs Nonye Soludo, who is the Founder, Healthy Living with Nonye Soludo Initiative, gave the advice yesterday in a message to commemorate the 2026 World Youth Skills Day.

“As we celebrate World Youth Skills Day, today, let us remind ourselves that the greatest investment we can make is in the skills, creativity, and potential of our young people. When youths are equipped with the right knowledge and practical abilities, they become job creators, problem solvers, innovators, and agents of positive change in their communities.

“As we continue to promote healthy living, quality education, innovation, entrepreneurship, and skills development, I encourage every young person to embrace lifelong learning and never stop acquiring new skills. Every skill mastered today is a step towards a more confident, productive, self-reliant, and prosperous tomorrow.

“To our young people across Anambra State and beyond, keep learning, keep creating, and keep believing in yourselves. Your talents are your greatest assets, and the future belongs to those who prepare for it.”

She reaffirmed her commitment to supporting initiatives that empower young people through education, skills acquisition, innovation, and entrepreneurship, noting that investing in youth development remains essential to building a stronger and more prosperous society.
