A non-governmental organization, Equality Development and Research Center, (EDRC) has lamented that bullying at workplace is affecting national productivity.

The co- founder of the organization Marsha Nwanne made this disclosure at the training of the Nigeria Hydrological Service Agency, (NIHSA) staff on the dangers of workplace bullying held in Abuja, yesterday.

Nwanne stressed that until a law is passed to protect the masses against the act and also sensitize them, most Nigerians won’t be able to bring out the best in them.

“Bullying is not just a Nigerian thing,it is everywhere. It has destroyed alot of lives and carriers. Sensitization is the key to reduce it. Once people realize that what they are doing or witnessing is wrong they can then adjust.

When people are not psychologically sound ,it affects their level of production. The only way out is through sensitization, make sure people understand what they are doing and put for a law which specifically target work place bullying,” she said.
