Nigeria’s Super Falcons are expected to play the game of their lives against England in the 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup round of 16 match in Brisbane today, as a win against the Lionesses will guaranty each player a whopping sum of $90,000 (about 69million naira) from FIFA.

So far, each Super Falcons player has earned $90,000 after qualifying for the round of 16 of the 2023 Women’s World Cup being played in Australia and New Zealand.

Super Falcons who had already pocketed $30,000 each as an appearance fee from FIFA, now have $120,000 each – $30,000 earned in the Group Stage and $60,000 for knockout round.

The $120,000 earned so far could reach $210,000 (about 161 million naira) if they beat the Three Lionesses of England, to advance to the quarterfinal.

Nigeria qualified for the round of 16 of the women’s Mundial after playing out a goalless draw with the Republic of Ireland in its final Group B game, to finish second behind co-hosts, Australia.
