In a bid to reshape the mindset of women in Nigeria’s corporate space, The Bloom Conversations with Sola 3.0 has challenged female professionals to adopt an ownership mindset and uphold strong personal values as critical tools for sustainable career and financial growth.

The event in Lagos which brought together 40 ambitious women across key sectors for a transformative session centred on integrity, leadership, and financial independence.
Convened by Oluwasola Obagbemi, the fast-growing platform is rapidly becoming a rallying point for women determined to rise above workplace limitations and societal expectations.

Founded in 2023, Bloom Conversations was created to equip women with the tools to navigate the pressures of corporate life while building influence, wealth, and purpose.
At the heart of this year’s conversation was a hard truth: salary alone will not secure the future many women desire.

Delivering one of the most impactful sessions, Founder and President of Woodhall Capital, Mojisola Hunponu-Wosu, urged participants to rethink their approach to success.

“For too long, women have been conditioned to chase paychecks instead of power,” she said.

“If you want to build real wealth and legacy, you must move from income thinking to ownership thinking. It’s time to stop being just participants in the economy and start becoming stakeholders.”

Her message struck a chord with attendees navigating the uncertainties of today’s economic climate.

Also speaking, Sahara Group’s Executive Director of Financial Strategy, Moroti Adedoyin-Adeyinka, delivered a blunt reminder that competence alone is not enough to break through corporate barriers.

“You can be brilliant and still be overlooked,” she warned.

“Character is the real differentiator. Integrity, discipline, and intentionality will take you further than technical skills alone.”

She stressed that women must be deliberate about building both their professional expertise and personal values to thrive in high-pressure environments.

Opening the session, Obagbemi made it clear that the initiative goes beyond networking, it is about redefining what success looks like for women.

“We are raising women who are not just skilled, but grounded, confident, and self-aware,” she said.

“Women are not designed to fit into one box. We are built for moreand it’s time we start living like it.”

With previous editions featuring industry heavyweights such as Folake Soetan and Adenike Macaulay, the platform continues to grow in influence, attracting top-tier voices committed to advancing women in leadership.

Backed by major partners including BellaNaija, Providus Bank, and others, the initiative reflected a growing concensus in corporate Nigeria: empowering women is no longer optional, it is critical to economic growth.

As International Women’s Month winds down, one message from Bloom Conversations 3.0 stands out loud and clear:

The future belongs to women who think beyond salaries and step boldly into ownership.
