WIMBIZ holds maiden London conference

…Set to host Ibukun Awosika, Beth Knight, others

The Women in Management, Business and Public Service (WIMBIZ) is set to make history with the launch of its maiden London conference.

According to WIMBIZ, the groundbreaking event, which marks the first of its kind in the heart of the United Kingdom, is scheduled to hold on October 5, 2023.

Executive director of WIMBIZ, Hansatu Adegbite, said the conference, themed “Limitless: Embrace the Infinite,” marks the first WIMBIZ conference holding in London and will address the challenges of women professionals in the UK.

“The conference, which will hold at the Hilton, Kensington, will also inspire through those that have gone ahead of them so that they reach new heights,” she said.

Adegbite said WIMBIZ has long been recognized for its commitment to empowering and advancing women in various sectors, and its inaugural London conference promises to continue this legacy by providing a platform for women to be inspired, connect, learn and thrive.

She further revealed some of the confirmed conference speakers, which include Fati Wali-Abdurrahman, Senior Adviser Special Projects and Strategic Relations to the group president, Dangote Industries Ltd; Prof. Sohier Elneil, UCL professor, urogynecology; Bisi Adeyemi, board chairman, WIMBIZ; and Kemi Adewole, CEO, Protiquette Consults.

Others are Grace Ofure, Founder & CEO, Lifecard Limited; Ononuju Irukwu, Chairperson Women in Finance UK; Dr. Ronke Akerele, National Director Culture Transformation NHS England; Dr. Evelyn Okpanachi, Royal Leadership Consults; Dr. Modupe Elebute-Odunsi, Founder of Marcelle Ruth Cancer Centre & Specialist Hospital; and others.

In addition to the line-up of speakers for the London Conference, the WIMBIZ executive director said the delegates can expect engaging plenary sessions, conversations, fireside chat, cocktails, and invaluable networking opportunities.

The Women in Management, Business and Public Service (WIMBIZ) is a non-profit organisation that implements programs that inspire, empower and advocate for more excellent representation of women in leadership positions in public and private sectors. 

WIMBIZ had a contributory associate pool of over 2,000 accomplished women in business, management, and public service.

Since 2002, the organisation has collaborated with credible indigenous and international global organizations to deliver programs influencing over 313,000 women.
