The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, has reinstated Danlami Hayyo as Mandate Secretary for Education and Michael Ango as Acting Executive Chairman of the FCT Internal Revenue Service (FCT-IRS), just months after their suspensions over alleged acts of indiscipline.
The reinstatements were disclosed on Wednesday through a statement by the Senior Special Assistant to the Minister on Public Communications and Social Media, Lere Olayinka.
The officials faced suspension in September amid investigations into operational lapses and misconduct within their agencies. Hayyo’s removal stemmed from complaints about mismanagement in education secretariat projects, while Ango’s stemmed from irregularities in revenue collection processes, prompting a broader FCTA audit.

Wike directed both to resume duties immediately, warning: “Acts of indiscipline will not be tolerated among officials of the FCTA,” emphasising that the move follows satisfactory resolutions from the probes and aims to restore efficiency in key sectors.
Olayinka stressed that the reinstatements signal zero tolerance for future lapses, positioning the FCTA for stronger service delivery amid ongoing reforms.
