The National Chairman, Social Democratic Party (SDP), Shehu Gabam, has said that Nigerians are responsible for the present problems ravaging the country.

Gabam, speaking in Abuja at an interactive session with journalists, explained that Nigerians deliberately chose president Muhammadu Buhari without inquiring from God.

He lamented that most people virtually worshipped the president due to lots of insightful promises he made, which none had been met.

Gabam further lamented that Nigeria is passing through a circle of wicked leadership, adding that everyone must apologize to the country for encouraging evil.

“Nobody thought that Buhari will be so incapacitated, so we must tell them the truth and history must record that we have spoken out. We have never witnessed this kind of loose government in the history of the country.

“We got here deliberately because we were so blindfolded when we were choosing Buhari, nobody mentioned God, nobody involved God in the choice making. When you allocate things to humans, God would allow you to know that he is the supreme God.

“People were virtually worshipping Buhari and he said so many things to insight the society that are not correct. He has so many promises that he couldn’t fulfil and that they can not defend or react to it. We are responsible for our troubles because virtually all the elites agreed that Buhari should come in.

“We supported President Buhari without any condition, absolutely zero condition. I never supported him because he owns Nigeria but supported him because I thought he loves Nigeria but he failed us,” he said.

He further added that the president should honourably resign instead of creating and multiplying the number of widows and orphans in the country due to the high rate of insecurity in the country.
