…As Saraki, Dogara, Yari, Oyegun join to launch economic recovery plan

President Muhammadu Buhari has assured Nigerians that his administration was determined to return Nigerian from a consumer nation to a producing nation.

He said this at the formal launch of the Nigeria Economic Recovery and Growth Plan (ERGP) 2017-2020.

Buhari, who was joined at the launch by Vice President Yemi Osinbajo, National Chairman of the All Progressive Congress (APC), John Odigie-Oyegun, Senate President, Bukola Saraki, Speaker of the House of Representatives, Yakubu Dogara and the Zamfara State Governor who is also the Chairman of Nigeria Governors Forum (NGF), Abdulazeez Yari, said the successful implementation of the document depends on the cooperation of the governors.

He also called on Nigerians to monitor the implementation of the document as critical stakeholders  were part of the document preparation.

Saraki and Dogara pledged the National Assembly’s support to ensure full implementation especially since they were part of its preparation and most of its submissions formed part of the final document launched.

Yari on his part assures that the 36 governors will take full ownership of the plan.
