We want to see result of MoU with 7 developers in Awka –Anambra citizens

For not noticing the estate for which Anambra State Government signed signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with seven developers citizens of Anambra State have called the Governor, Professor to always endeavour to keep his promises. They noted that with so much noise and hype, the state would have been pointing at a percentage completion of the project.

For Onuchukwu Umeadi, the result of the MoU would have been felt by the indigenes by now.

Anambra State government, recently signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with seven real estate developers to assist government in its vision of transforming the state capital into a smart mega city.

The Managing Director, Anambra State Investment Promotion and Protection Agency (ANSIPPA), Mark Okoye, and Commissioner for Lands, Prof. Offornze Amucheazi, signed the agreement on behalf of the state government at a ceremony in Awka, yesterday.

In his speech during the ceremony, Okoye said the pact was in line with Governor Chukwuma Soludo’s vision of building a smart mega city and transforming investment, as well as the state’s economic landscape.

He revealed that the firms were selected after numerous proposals and rigorous screening processes, while also charging them to ensure quality, with clear precision and accuracy. He further explained that the governor had directed them to reach out, engage and work with the private sector to attract investment to the state.

He added: “For the last four months, we’ve had over 60 real estate proposals with detailed analysis. The governor insisted on three-year deadline as long as the firms are competent to deliver quality jobs.”
