Kano State Governor, Abba Kabir Yuduf, Wednesday confirmed that they have uncovered plots to hijack the protest in the state.
Yusuf made this disclosure during a stakeholders meeting at the Government House Kano.
The meeting attended by religious leaders,members of the business community among others was called to review the planned protest. .
” We have received credible intelligence that certain disgruntled individuals are recruiting thugs to incite trouble in the state” he stated
” I assure you that the government will not tolerate such actions. Instead, I extend an invitation to those who wish to demonstrate to come to the Government House, where I will be happy to listen to their grievances and engage in constructive dialogue”
He also promised the protesters to extend their concerns and demands to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu
He expressed commitment towards the continued delivery of dividends of democracy and improving the lives of thr people of the state
“We are united in our quest for positive change that will yield the desired objectives of peace, progress, and political stability.
“Our administration is currently sponsoring over 1,000 students pursuing various courses in foreign countries.
We are also actively working to empower women and combat poverty in the state through a monthly program, which has already benefited over 5,000 women with a monthly stipend of N5,000, totaling over N260 million.
