Benjamin Netanyahu has declared that Iran is being “decimated” as the ongoing Middle East conflict enters its third week, even as fresh attacks on key oil and gas facilities across the Gulf rattle global energy markets.
Speaking at a press conference, Netanyahu said Iran had lost its capacity to enrich uranium and produce ballistic missiles, adding, “We are winning and Iran is being decimated,” while suggesting the war could end sooner than expected.
Despite the claims, Iran has intensified retaliatory strikes, targeting strategic energy infrastructure in countries including Saudi Arabia, Kuwait and Qatar, raising fears of a broader regional escalation and disruption to global oil supply chains.
The attacks have already shaken markets, with Brent crude surging above $110 per barrel after Iranian missiles hit Qatar’s Ras Laffan gas facility, one of the world’s largest liquefied natural gas hubs, in retaliation for earlier Israeli strikes.
