From Jude Owuamanam, Jos

Labour Party in Plateau state has said that there is no other faction of the party in Plateau state other than the one led by Mrs. Grace Zamfara.

The party therefore disowned Mr Solomon Ndam who, the party accused, of parading himself as the Labour Party Chairman in Plateau State.

In a statement signed by the Chairman Plateau State, Grace Zamfara, the party said that since Ndam told members of the public that he belonged to the Lamidi Apapa faction, he had no legal standing as Apapa had been stopped from parading himself as the national chairman of the party.

The statement said, “It has become incumbent for us to write to you because of the criminal activities of Mr Solomon Ndam who has been parading himself as the Labour Party Chairman in Plateau State.

“Ndam has told the public that he is Chairman under the leadership of the Lamidi Apapa led Labour Party who has been stopped by the Supreme Court from parading himself as the National Chairman.

“Apapa was also chased out of the National Secretariat in Abuja and has also been sacked by the party. He is no longer a member of our party.”

The party accused a former governor of the State of using a former member of the Party to distract and disorganized the Labour Party and its governorship candidate in the 2023 governorship elections in Plateau, alleging that the same person was the sponsor of Ndam to further destroy the party.

The statement added, “Ndam is also rocking the boat at this time because of the fourth coming rerun elections in Plateau North, for the Senatorial seat as declared by the Appeal Court recently.

“We want the general public to know the antics of Ndam who has made himself available to be used to destroy our party in Plateau because of a plate of maze, it stated.
