The Newspaper Distributors Council of Nigeria, Warri/ Effurun chapter has announced the death of one of its prominent members, Mrs Mercy Anyaokei (nee Mayoukun) after a protracted illness.
Until her death, she was the vice president of the union.
In a statement, the family said she has been battling with sickness for over one year which finally claimed her life at the University of Benin Teaching Hospital (UBTH) . it was gathered that her burial arrangements would commence soon and would be made public
President of the union, Lucky Baron described the demise of his vice president as a colossal loss to the union and the immediate neighbourhood. He stated further that, the late Vice President was a committed, loyal and very generous leader. Her death, he noted, had created a vacuum which only God can fill.
