A high-level gathering of influential women from across Africa and the global diaspora convened in Johannesburg on 7 March 2026 for the W.O.W Africa 50 Women Honour Circle, marking a significant moment in the advancement of leadership, enterprise and capital development on the continent.

The invitation-only event, organised by W.O.W Africa, brought together prominent figures in governance, business, law, investment and development. The platform, founded by Lelo N, is designed to foster collaboration among leaders shaping Africa’s economic future.

Among those honoured were Chanita Foster, recognised for her international development work; Vivian Mokome; and Mwanvita Makamba, noted for facilitating cross-border enterprise partnerships. Other notable participants included Lenore Goss-Matjie and Fatima Joyce Packery, alongside professionals spanning law, real estate, healthcare and finance.

The convening provided a private platform for dialogue and collaboration among women influencing key sectors across the continent.

The event also marked the official launch of W.O.W Africa Magazine, a new digital publication aimed at amplifying conversations around leadership, entrepreneurship, governance and capital across Africa and its diaspora. Organisers say the magazine will spotlight individuals and institutions contributing to long-term economic growth on the continent.

Two days after the Honour Circle, select participants reconvened to initiate the formation of the W.O.W Africa Chamber 100, an exclusive platform intended to unite leaders across enterprise, capital and governance. Membership in the Chamber remains selective, with founding members still being confirmed.

According to organisers, the Chamber is envisioned as a strategic space for aligning opportunities that support African enterprise, capital formation and cross-border collaboration.

Speaking on the initiative, Lelo N said the platform was created to recognise individuals actively building Africa’s future while fostering environments where leadership, capital and partnerships can intersect.

Following the success of the women’s convening, preparations are underway for the W.O.W Africa 50 Men Honour Circle, scheduled for 6 June 2026. The upcoming event will recognise men contributing to enterprise development, capital stewardship and community advancement across the continent.

W.O.W Africa said it will continue to expand its footprint through convenings, digital platforms and strategic partnerships aimed at strengthening leadership and economic collaboration across Africa and its global diaspora.
