A Federal Government delegation led by Vice President, Kashim Shettima, on Friday paid a condolence visit to Governor Bala Mohammed of Bauchi State following the death of Emir of Ningi, Alhaji Muhammadu Yunusa Danyaya.
Speaking at the Government House Bauchi, Shettima commended Mohammed for the smooth transition in appointing a new emir by the Ningi Emirate Council after the death of Danyaya.
Shettima also praised the governor’s exemplary leadership in ensuring continuity and stability in the emirate.
The vice president said that the contributions of the late emir to the development of Bauchi State and Nigeria as a whole were monumental and could not be forgotten.
He also described the late monarch as a unifying force who promoted peace, stability, and development in Bauchi and beyond.
Shetima also reminisced on the late emir’s commitment to education, healthcare, and economic development, describing him as a champion of progress.
In his remark, Governor Mohammed thanked the Federal Government delegation for the condolence visit.
Mohammed said the late emir was highly respected during his lifetime as symbol of unity
He recalled the late emir’s role in promoting peace and development in the state.
The governor described late Danyaya as a true leader and a father to all, whose wisdom and guidance would be greatly missed.
The governor had since appointed the eldest son of the deceased, Alhaji Haruna Muhammadu Yunusa Danyaya as the 16th Emir of Ningi.
